The @fangraphs depth chart projections, combining ZIPS/Steamer with manual playing time forecasts, are now sortable. http://t.co/4xe4BNj7eE

Trying to figure out which playing time estimates to trust now… stay tuned.
Update 1: Jared’s explanation of where Steamer IP/PA currently come from.
@RyanEBrock First, we should have the same GS for starters but we have different predicted IP/GS.

@RyanEBrock 2nd, we treat the % of playing time from FG depth for hitters as % of G and estimated PA/G based mostly on lineup spot — Steamer Projections (@steamerpro) March 9, 2015
… and my concern:
@RyanEBrock Yes, I am. And I’d like to get on the same page so that all the PA numbers match up.

Update 2: Via the comments at FG:
David Appleman – “Steamer I believe uses the depth charts as a base, but adds in some extra things like projected batting order and what not. They should for the most part be pretty close.”
But also via another commenter… “Rizzo and Braun are projected for 170 games each and Holiday for 167; something is miscalculating. Votto is projected for 162. That seems like a possible oversight.”
For now, I think the Steamer PA and Fans IP are still the way to go!
