The Big Board: Rest-of-Season Mode

We are officially in rest-of-season mode! As of today, all copies of the Big Board will pull in updated ‘rest of season’ projections to help you plan your FAAB and trades every week throughout the season.

If you used the Custom Projections tool with your board in the preseason, now would be a good time to delete all of the ‘Custom’ projections from your sheet, as they are all based on full-season PA/IP. You should also update the weights used for projection systems if you’re using a mix, since “ATC” does not to rest-of-season projections.

One last plug/reminder, you can use the free roster import tool to help you pull in your rosters from a variety of different fantasy host sites! It’s been updated quite a bit after the initial release and has some better handling of different player name spellings on the host sites.

  1. the projection weights table appears to be not updating accurately. e.g., the sum column doesn’t update at all, which makes me question if the other items are accurately used for correct integration of projections. can you provide some feedback on this subject?

as it stands right now, steamer (via fangraphs) project degrom with 27 IP ros. my big board shows 42 IP for degrom ros, while my weighted IP project is supposed to 60% steamer and nothing else.

    (1) if the sum for a category weight isn’t 1, how does big board calculate weighted values? what’s the default fill in? (2) why doesn’t the sum column update, and does that mean that the weights are not being distributed correctly? i.e., how does big board know to fill in with some default projection system if the weighted total appears to be 100% custom selected projection weights?

    thx
